¶ When to Use This Guide
- The Avatar Goggles X、VRX feature HDMI output and can be connected to an external display.
¶ Setup Procedure
¶ Step 1: Purchase an HDMI Cable
- The Avatar Goggles X use a Mini HDMI port. A Mini HDMI-to-full-size HDMI adapter is recommended.
- Ensure that the plastic housing around the Mini HDMI connector is thin enough. If the housing is too thick, the connector may not fully insert into the Goggles X port, resulting in an unstable connection.
- If necessary, carefully trim away excess plastic around the connector so that it can be fully inserted.
¶ Step 2: Connect the Cable
- Connect the HDMI adapter and cable between the receiver unit and the external display.
¶ Step 3: Configure the Settings
- If the goggles are set to High Frame Rate Mode, the external display may fail to show an image or may report that the video format is unsupported. In this case, set Frame Rate to Standard Frame Rate in the system menu, or use a display that supports the higher frame rate.
- When using a VRX module, press and hold the Back button for eight seconds to reset the output resolution and force the system to switch to 720p/60 fps.
¶ Important Notes
Most displays support only the standard frame rate of 60 fps. If the goggles are set to High Frame Rate Mode, the display may fail to show an image or report that the video format is unsupported.
The external display mirrors the content shown on the built-in goggles displays. It cannot independently show a clean flight view without OSD or other system information.
