This article explains how Race Mode works and how to enable it.
Race Mode limits the HD video transmission resolution to 540p, or 960 × 540.
Compared with 720p and 1080p, 540p significantly reduces the amount of video data that must be transmitted. This lowers the system’s bandwidth requirements, reduces the impact of packet loss on the wireless video link, and minimizes latency fluctuations.
Go to Settings > Device, then set the system mode to Race Mode. The system will prompt you to restart the device.
After confirming the restart, the system will switch to 540p resolution and automatically enable High Frame Rate Mode and Broadcast Mode.
Walksnail Goggles L and Fat Shark Recon HD do not support Race Mode.
The VRX module must be connected to a display that supports a high refresh rate.
The Moonlight Kit does not support Race Mode.
Race Mode does not reduce the system’s minimum latency. Its purpose is to reduce the amount of transmitted data, improve video-link stability, and minimize latency fluctuations caused by packet loss.
