¶ OSD Overlay Tool
HD digital FPV systems work differently from analog video systems. With analog systems, OSD information is processed and overlaid onto the video before transmission. In HD digital systems, however, the OSD data is transmitted separately as character coordinates and timing information.
Currently, there is no video player that can directly render this OSD data, so an OSD overlay tool is required to combine the OSD information with the video before playback.
The PNG font files can be obtained from the firmware package.

¶ How to Use
¶ What You Need
- The OSD Overlay Tool requires four files: an
.mp4video file, an.osdflight controller OSD file, an.srtsystem information subtitle file, and a.pngfont file. - The
.pngfont files are located in theuserfontfolder inside the firmware package.
- After processing is complete, the output file will be saved in the same directory as the original video file.
- If you are using a
Betaflightflight controller, select the BF font. Use font size 24 for 720p video and font size 36 for 1080p video.
