¶ Connections
¶ GM Series Gimbal Wiring Diagram
- GM3 V2 is used as an example below. Other models are connected in a similar way.
¶ Avatar V2 Air Unit
- The Avatar V2 VTX is used as an example below. Most Avatar air units connect to the gimbal in the same way.
¶ Avatar Moonlight Air Unit
- Connect the gimbal signal cable to the Moonlight data port marked with a white dot. Make sure not to connect it to the other port.
¶ Avatar GT V1 Air Unit
- The Avatar GT V1 does not have a dedicated connector for connecting a gimbal. However, a second UART port is available on the PCB and can be used for the connection.
This operation requires disassembling the VTX and may result in damage. Proceed with caution.
¶ Avatar GT V2 Air Unit
When using the GT2 with a gimbal, pay attention to the input voltage range. The GT air unit requires at least 12 V to operate properly.
¶ Ascent Lite+
- Ascent Lite+ supports an input voltage as low as 5V, but the gimbal requires at least 9V to operate. Make sure the power supply voltage is sufficient.
¶ Other Information
- The earliest Avatar 6S Dual V1 air unit does not support gimbal functionality. This product has been discontinued.
- Avatar 1S series air units, Nano V3, and similar models do not support gimbal connections. These products are designed for compact Drone applications where this function is generally not required.
