Make sure the throttle stick is at its lowest position when attempting to arm the Protos.
-
If the throttle stick is already at its lowest position but the indicator still flashes red when arming, recalibrate the radio controller sticks.
-
Radio Controller Stick Calibration Tutorial
- This is generally caused by an issue with the Arm button on the radio controller. Check whether the Arm button returns to its original position after being pressed instead of remaining locked in position.
- If so, please contact after-sales support for technical assistance.
¶ Protos Can Be Armed in Sport and Acro Modes, but Cannot Be Armed in Altitude Hold Mode
- The Protos’s optical flow sensor may be faulty. Please contact after-sales support for technical assistance.
- Switch the radio controller to Sport Mode or Acro Mode. If the Protos still cannot be armed for takeoff, please contact after-sales support and return the Protos for inspection.
- If the Protos can be armed and take off normally, the optical flow sensor is likely faulty. Please contact after-sales support and return the Protos for inspection.
-
Altitude Hold Mode has operating height limitations. The effective height range is 20 cm to 4 m indoors and 20 cm to 2 m outdoors.
-
If the Protos is within the supported height range but still shakes severely or drifts, try flying over a different ground surface and perform an IMU calibration before testing again.
-
If the issue persists after completing the steps above, please contact after-sales support and return the Protos for inspection.

The Protos drone KIT is an RTF KIT and does not require Binding. Binding is only required if the firmware has been changed.
-
Before Binding, make sure the goggles and air unit are running matching firmware versions.
-
Briefly press the Bind buttons on both the goggles and air unit to put them into Binding Mode. Do not press and hold the buttons.
-
If the air unit indicator first remains solid red after power-on and then changes to solid green, the firmware update may not have completed correctly. This may indicate an issue with the air unit coaxial cable or camera. Reconnect the coaxial cable, or cross-test with another coaxial cable or camera.

Binding Tutorial
- This is generally caused by insufficient input power. It is recommended to use the included CADDXFPV 30W power adapter or another USB power adapter that supports the USB PD fast-charging protocol to power the charging hub. Make sure the adapter is connected to a wall outlet and can provide sufficient power.
- If the issue persists after trying multiple fast-charging adapters and power cables, please contact after-sales support for technical assistance.
- Press and hold the charging hub function button for 3 seconds. All three sets of status indicators will flash simultaneously three times, indicating that the charging hub has entered Storage Charge/Discharge Mode.
- Gently shake the protos drone and listen for any loose components inside the camera. The infrared filter inside the lens may have come loose. You can replace the lens yourself or contact after-sales support for assistance.
